Justus Friedrich Eichhorn, Piano
12-year-old Justus Friedrich Eichhorn was born into a family of musicians in Weimar. For several years he has been taught by Prof. Grigory Gruzman at the Franz Liszt Academy of Music in Weimar, and he also receives lessons in composition and conducting. In 2020, Justus was a student of Matti Raekallio (Juilliard School New York) during his family’s stay abroad for several months. He made his debut at the age of 10 with Haydn’s Piano Concerto in D major. Since then he has performed with numerous orchestras, including Mozart’s A major concerto KV 414 with the Moscow Soloists conducted by Yuri Bashmet. Justus Friedrich Eichhorn has won numerous piano competitions, including 1st prize at the Bechstein Competition Berlin as the youngest participant. He won 1st prize at the Bechstein Competition Berlin as the youngest participant. In 2021 he performed at the Elba Festival and was awarded the festival’s promotional prize. In summer 2022 Justus was invited as “Artist of Promise” by the Verbier Festival. In autumn 2022 he will perform Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No. 2 in several cities in Germany. In 2023, Justus Friedrich Eichhorn will make his debut with the Korean Chamber Orchestra at the Seoul Arts Center as well as at the Laeizhalle Hamburg.
